Slime is a leading cause of ice machine

breakdowns and biological growth is a health

concern. Manitowoc’s exclusive Guardian

® Accessory

is patented technology that releases chlorine dioxide

on a controlled basis to inhibit the growth of bacteria

and fungi that form slime and

cause odors in the food zone

of ice machines.

It is not uncommon to perform

a monthly manual cleaning

of an ice machine to remove

slime. Professional cleaning

will typically cost $160 on

average. Manitowoc’s

Guardian can extend slime

cleaning effectiveness by up to

six times the normal frequency...6 months

instead of one. The Guardian Accessory

consists of Manitowoc’s patented sachet

housing and chemical sachet refill.

Standard, Cleaning System

To simplify maintenance, all

Manitowoc ice machines have an

exclusive, patented, technology that

cleans or sanitizes the ice machine’s

water-distribution system in just

24 minutes. Standard on all ice

machines, this technically reduces

cleaning effort to simply flipping a

switch and pouring in a few ounces

of cleaner or sanitizer.

Optional,

Automatic Cleaning System (AuCS

®)

Eliminates routine maintenance. AuCS counts the number of

ice-making cycles and, at a frequency you select, initiates a

cleaning or sanitizing cycle...AUTOMATICALLY. Choose from

2, 4, or 12-week settings. AuCS for S-Series 450, 500, 600,

850, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, and 1800 is installed inside

the ice machine. S-300, 322, 422, and Ice/Beverage model

attaches outside the ice machine.

*Not applicable to QM, Q-130, Q-210, Q-270,

nugget, flake or chiplet ice machine models.
